It's just a matter of matching the natural frequency of the glass (which varies from glass to glass). Matching the natural frequency of the glass makes the glass vibrate pretty violently and if the frequency is loud enough and sustained long enough the glass will break.

Thanks

Heh, I suppose it was only a matter of time before the Adam Lambert fantards found this thread... Laughing Just a heads up for everyone: the more popular he becomes, the worse it will get.

Nah, most of them just care about Lambert and is uninterested in the vocal talk. For the ones that come on, well.

I quite like the sound of "Music Again" (figures, as it was written by the guy from The Darkness), but the rest are kinda meh... well, I suppose we'll have to wait for more than a 30 second clip of each to be able to tell.

So far a lot less rock than I expected though. Or at least than he said it would be.

Exactly what I was expecting, honestly.

A little less rock? Was there even rock? Other than 'Aftermath'.

IMO I like 'Broken Open', 'Aftermath', 'Sleepwalker' and 'Soaked', I need the full song to know anyway. 'Whatdya Want From Me' was really.. meh.

I like the album though, so far.

Riot reunited their Thundersteel lineup, and is touring again. This means that Tony Moore is back, and he's still got most of his range intact after almost 20 years. A bit strained in places, but that's to be expected when you're performing such demanding material.

I downloaded a bootleg of Riot performing "Dance of Death", and Moore sounded like he was gonna die while singing the final verse. Crazy stuff, but great to see them embracing this period of their career.

I really like "Music Again", reminds me of Justin Hawkins "Hot Legs" song, very Queen like. Love "Soaked", I think this is the song with the 30 full piece orchestra. It's really hard to get the feeling with 30sec snippets, not feeling the whole rock thing yet, but for his first album very different than past Idols.

you can exchanged the word Frequency with Pitch to ease confusion.

Set the glass on a plane, and run your finger VERY gently around the inner rim of the glass at about 50 degrees. ... It should start "singing" and that' syour pitch to resonate Smile

It won't work on just a glass. It has to be crystal.

Is Adam a tenor or a countertenor? I've heard that countertenors are extremely rare.
