the problem is dude , not the biggest Daltrey fan , noone here really seems to know too many songs about that guy.
all the vocalists in my top 10 are done so im currently happy sitting back
and i still think you should add song to the siren for t buckleys list...i keep on saying that. third position probably after DBTB and monterey....
and damn starsailor , whata damn album...
and Axl does not have bad tone...its subjective.... but im not the biggest fan of his tone , but he has a really good all round voice |
Ok, lets drop Daltrey for now.
Beast, could you help with the Kiske or maybe Khan list?
Song To The Siren is his greatest performance, but technically isn't impressive. I asked Jester the same question when he sent the list to me, and I trust that man when it comes to Tim Buckley.
Also, Axl is a great singer, I just can't enjoy that much in his singing because of his tone. |

I think Key to the Universe should be 1. I'll have to listen to Keeper again, but WGTR and Halloween are definate. I Want Out I don't think is top 5, I'd see March of Time or Someone's Crying before.
Nice live list though. |

Yeah I Completly forgot March of Time!Love that Song and amazing singing!I dont think Someone's Crying is thaat great.I Want Out is amazing, the Chorus and the loong Scream after the "Leave me alone"Verse are insane.Hmm about the 1st Place, its very subjektive ,I think that KOTSK showed his range as good annd in some parts better. He was some years younger there too :)And its just a better song imho.Hmm but it is close,as close as between I Want Out and March Of Time.Huh I forgot Save Us too!Insane Vocals! |

| Keeper is good, but there's nothing particularly amazing about it except that its really long, and Halloween has that and more. The only impressive thing in I Want Out is the B4 that he holds though the last chorus and then a higher note at the end. Someone's Crying has a much more impressive chorus and verses, and a great rise and sustained F# at the end. |

Yeah,I know ,Halloween is great, but I think hes overall singing is better in Keeper 2,he developed very much, in example you cant compare hes Keeper 1 era performances with Keeper 2 era.I think he sang even better in PBGA.Well this list is based on my subjektive opinion :=)and i think I Want Out is better than the Someone's Crying |

PBGA for all its problems did have some of his best singing, for his old singing style anyway. I think you have a point with I Want Out > Someone's Crying, though overall neither are particularly fantastic performances. I'm sure there are better ones. Save Us, When the Sinner, I Believe, Shadowfights. Mind you I haven't heard all his solo stuff or collaborations.
Your top three is pretty good though. |

Ave Maria, definitely! Her voice just sounds so heavenly there!
Our Great Divide is really incredible performance too, with REDICULOUS volume control, but I just feel Ave Maria is better as a whole. |

For Kiske list, Key To The Universe is definitely number 1! I listened to it and is amazing indeed! Beautiful song also...
Also, I think Eagle Fly Free is top 10 worthy. |

I assumed as much but I've fallen in love with Our Great Divide and when I first heard it I knew that was my number 1. Then I found Ave Maria and I knew my attempts were futile...
Well anyway, that's my final list.
I'm actually starting to think J-Club might be right with Keeper. I've already decided that technically WGTR is better than Keys, and I think Keeper may be too, and its a fuller performance too (yeah, longer :P ). KttU I think is his "best" overall, but those two are better if you get my drift. I think Eagle is a top 10 contender too. |
