Interesting lists. I don't know much about the genre, but I've enjoyed nearly all the neo-noir movies on there.

Would a movie like Lucky Number Slevin fall under the Neo-Noir category?

Nice lists. I think Brick could be added to the bottom half of the neo-noir list, and M seems like it should be top 5 or even top 3.

Fine lists except for one glaring problem; Kiss Kiss Bang Bang, whether as a film noir or as any other kind of movie, is NOT better than Se7en- at all.

Other than that, good job

that and it sucked BIG TIME. i wouldn't have it above any of the stuff on that list aside from maybe sin city of the man who wasn't there, but i wouldn't have either 3 of these in the top 25

i never really got why double indemnity was so amazing either , i certainly think Big Sleep is much better acted/directed and it is mor einteresting to me as well. i dont know much about noir film elements though, so if that's the criteria then i understand its placement as well as KKBB's.

good to see Double Indemnity so high. I say it might actually make No 1 were it not for Maltese Falcon's extreme popularity

I'm thinking Blue Velvet should be higher on the neo-noir list. Also, would Lucky Number Slevin be considered a neo-noir movie?

Hmm, I've never considered Sunset Blvd. a Noir, but I guess it is. That being the case my list would be.

1. M
2. The Third Man
3. Sunset Blvd.
4. The Maltese Falcon
5. Double Indemnity
